"The Great Redemption" (55)

"The Great Redemption" by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto

-- A Discourse on The End of the Exile and the Beginning of the Great Redemption

Translated by Rabbi Yaakov Feldman

55.

But when they left (Egypt) they received the Torah, were greatly rectified, and rule was taken away from the other nations -- most especially from Esau and Ishmael, as we indicated. Thus it’s written, “G-d came from Sinai and arose to them from Seir. He shone forth from Mount Paran and came with holy tens of thousands” (Deuteronomy 33:2).

Not only were the other nations unable to rule over the Jewish Nation (then), but the Jewish Nation itself could have ruled had they not sinned with the golden calf.
